Yes. The Free plan includes a full calendar, task list, a single Kanban board, and manual scheduling — no credit card required. You can upgrade any time you want AI auto-scheduling, two-way sync, or the modular dashboard widgets.
Core ($5/mo) adds AI auto-scheduling and the full dashboard. Pro ($10/mo) adds automatic re-planning, two-way calendar sync, the voice assistant, and support for blending multiple personas at once. At onboarding, you pick Student, Creator, Side-hustler, or a mix — this changes your default categories, board columns, and how the AI scaffolds new projects. On Pro and above, you can blend multiple personas at once if you're more than one of these (which, honestly, most people are).
It depends which version you use, and we'd rather be straight about it. The desktop app is local-first — your tasks, calendar, and projects live on your own device, and we never receive them. The web app stores them on our servers, because that's what makes your plan available in a browser and across devices. No, and no. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers, we don't use your tasks and calendar to train AI models, and we don't show ads. Planality makes money from subscriptions — you're the customer, not the product. Your data is exportable and deletable at any time.
In the desktop app, no — speech is transcribed on your device using an offline engine, and raw audio never leaves your machine. In the web app, browsers can't run that offline engine, so transcription happens through your browser's speech recognition or a transcription service, meaning audio does leave your device. We don't retain raw audio either way. If voice privacy matters to you, use the desktop app.
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from Settings. Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period, and there's no cancellation fee.
Google Calendar and Outlook today, with Notion and Google Classroom on the way. Every connection uses the provider's official OAuth login — Planality never sees or stores your password, and you can disconnect any service at any time from Settings.
